I am the eldest of four children and spent most of my childhood growing up in the freedom of North Devon. I was fortunate enough to have my own horse and spent many hours enjoying the instruction from my local Pony Club. I attended the local private school.

I then attended North Devon College where I studied for my N.N.E.B. I then mixed both nannying and horse oriented jobs until getting married followed a year later by the birth of my daughter in 1992. As I had a difficult pregnancy I was advised to not have any more children so I decided to become a foster parent. My then husband died of leukaemia and I continued to foster as a single parent for the next three years until my daughter reached the age of six.

I fostered children from birth to sixteen years but specialised in the under fives and had over twenty children during six years. I then took over the running of my old Pony club where I organized camps and instructional rallies for the next three years. This is voluntary work and I relief nannied for several families in the area whilst they went away on holiday without their children. I then met my now fiancé whilst looking after his younger sisters whilst his grandmother was ill in a hospice.

I moved to Surrey four years ago and started part time work, as a special needs assistant in a local primary school. I was then approached to help set up a polo yard which I did and left the school when the children I worked with moved on to senior school.

I believe that in this day and age many parents are left struggling with little support from family, in what is often an exhausting and bewildering time. Many parents find that a calm reassuring supporting hand is all they need to find their own confidence to care for their children. My wish is only to help them build in this confidence and help them start in a relaxed happy environment. I remain on call to all my parents for as long as they feel is necessary
